Hi
How can I create EPOC/PSION style help files, complete with the "contents" list. for use as reference files for my own reference requirements?
Thank you...

Psion/EPOC help files tend to simply be files created with the built in Data program on the Psions.
It's the easiest way. |

Any tips or pointers on how to begin? or is it obvious when I start using the Data program? Is there perhaps a "template"?
Thank you. |

Hi Peter
If you find any existing help file (look in \system\apps then pick an app name), copy it and rename it .dat instead of .hlp - you can then edit this with the standard data file, changing field names etc if you like.
Rename it .hlp once you finish, and voila - one help file.
(I have a small help file I wrote for an app of my own, pm me if you want a copy.)
Regards

Thanks Matthew.
I have had a "play" with the Data app and can see how it works. I may do what you suggest though to have a look at what others have done, in case I learn something |
