Hello Keith,

I saw your site and your favorite Psion software.
I miss View+.

It's a VERY, VERY good program.
Give it a try, you will be overwhelmed by all the possibilities.

Hi Kees:

I do have View+, but not being overly computer minded, I've never really figured out just how to use it. What this world needs is a course on how to use 'advanced' types of apps. Wink

BTW, Martin setd me the color aif for Meter. Looks good on my netBook.

Yes that's a big problem with V+
Because there are so many possibilities, and many items have there own menu.
Edo, the auther of the program, wrote some time ago that he also forgot some possibilities of his own program Wink

After a demonstration given by Kees all was clear. View+ can, as the name, view all kind of thing WITHOUT the standard app on the Psion. So looking for an e-mail, picture, word document is MUCH faster than with the standaard apps.

BUT I must confess, I only started to use View+ after the demonstration ...

I do indeed have it (thanks Kees) - although it's a babelfish translation of the Russian (unless I'm mistaken) and really needs a bit of a workover before publishing IMO. Any volunteers for cleaning up babel-speak?

I posted a massage in the "Wish-list" item.

Maybe there is a program who can do this, but I haven't found it.
IconPatch by Martin Guthrie and Andrew Gregory can extract aif-files into eight mbm files, but is there also a program who can extract multiple mbm files into MBM, Sketch or someting else?

After that I got a mail from Edo:
" BTW, you mention on Pscience Iconpatcher ability to extract AIF file into 8 mbm files. Well I must remind you that you can do it much more correctly with V+. Just open any AIF file and use "Save file as" command. Then you can choose to save it as MBM file, but unlike Iconpatcher, you will get EXACTLY the number (and sizes) of single mbm files that were contained in AIF file. That can be 2 or 4 or 6, not always 8 as Iconpatcher actually creates (via Appinfo.opx). Then you can use CL function "mbmsplit" to get single mbm files out of it. Also, you can open any AIF file and use "Save bitmap as" to save selected AIF bitmap to either Mbm, Sketch, JPG or GIF file. And most important when colorizing icons (aifs) you can do it most easily DIRECTLY by changing AIF bitmaps while viewing them (using SketchPad). Then you just save your work ("Save as") into new AIF file. You can colorize them or even delete or add new AIF bitmaps on the fly."

If you have activate for example a MBM or AIF-file how do you come into the draw-mode?

(Shift+Ctrl+R)

Now you are into the draw mode and you can follow the instructions see above.

Success

Version 1.28 is released.

http://mypsion.ru/download.php?ViewPlus_1.28_nB.zip

1.28 of 09.08.05

1) Decompiling OPL files - a major enhancement:
Added "Analyze" command button to "Decompile procedures" dialog, which gives
an extended (decompile) information dialog for each procedure:
- Original Proc line (line number in source file)
- ProcTable reference (offset where selected Proc is referenced at)
- All Globals declared in selected procedure (with offset positions)
- Number of strings declared in selected procedure
- Number of arrays declared in selected procedure
- Max. stack space required
- Size of procedure Qcode (in bytes)
- Offset where procedure Qcode starts at
- All External procedures called (with offset positions)
- All External Globals referenced (with offset positions)
!!! No Anti_Revtran methods can prevent getting these information, AFAIK Smile

2) Some Note+ changes:
- Added basic scrollbar (info).
- Added "File Report" command to "Disk Info" dialog.
- Left-hand users can use Right Shift+tap for marking files with pen.

3) Some changes in CL (Command line Processor):
- Added new parameter, "t", to CL "dirprint" command. If "t" is stated, output File
report columns will be separated by "Space+Tab". "Tab" is default value.
(See VCL_Readme.txt)
- Now, Note+ doesn't wait any application process to end if it is started from N+ CL.
- New CL scripts are now added to end of list, instead to top of it.

4) Few bugs fixed (closing "Aif Gui Standard" window and Bitmap and Sys Clipboard) and
major code optimization done (V+ running smoother, hopefully Smile
No Black Magic though Wink

Here a picture from the decompiler

Go in your Psion to \System\apps\mbmview\mbmview.app
Start View+, only the main screen
Spacebar
menu
tools
decompile
Procedures

Or

Also, there are several other ways to come to "Analyze" procedure
feature like:
1) from N+ press Enter on any OPL APP/OPO file.
2) From "Run Program" press "Decompile" on selected OPL App
3) from Hex viever (if App/opo is opened in hex view) press Ctrl+Shift+P.
etc...
