Printer drivers howtoHi,I just bought a mini thermal printer IV from Extech on ebay last week, because I suspected that it would work with my psion.  And it does 
It works best if select the standard printer driver on infrared, and it prints plain text reasonably well. But it could be greatly improved. I thought I could try to create a driver... but I don't know if there is any document that explains how to create printer drivers, is it complicated? are there any templates? Does anybody knows how Andrew Johnson created his own

Ok, i've good news.
The first one is that I've in my hands the Developers manual of the thermal printer. (2 points for Extech guys  )
The other one is that I've found in the cpp SDK information for developing printer drivers. If someone is interested... !:\sysdoc\cpp\pddrv\pdgen.html And a more extensive set of docs, targeted for symbian OS 7.0, but I assume it's pretty the same, right here: http://www.symbian.com/developer/...tilities/PrinterDriverGeneration/ I'm now learning from it, and i'll try to build a driver.. Although I don't promise anything . Many of the things in the examples doesn't apply to this printer... and some of the features it supports -like codebars or compressed graphic printout- I just don't know how to support it, but I'll try.
