MagicStor 2.2GB CF Type II 1" Hard Disk and the netBookI recently aquired the above card and decided that it would make a great second disk for my nB. It came with a PCMCIA adaptor so I put the card in my PC, reformatted it to FAT16 (as it came FAT32) and tried it.
Suddenly... nothing happened - "Disk not present".
The card does work in the actual CF bay, but it's remarkably slow to say its a 1" hard drive (you know, like the IBM Microdrive range).
My question is: Should the PCMCIA bay support the PCMCIA>CFII adaptor and let me access the disk? Anyone got any bright ideas for me to try 'cos I'd love the extra space?
