The CD that came with my 5mx contained a screensaver for the PC. It was the Psion logo with the letters rotating in sequence. I loved it. It worked with windows 95 and 98. But it doesn't work with WindowsXP.

The file is an .avi. After a couple of years with XP, I got to thinking about it the other day, Googled "convert .avi to .scr), found a converter and converted it. The program is shareware with an evaluation period. That means the final result contains a little statement as to how the file was created. Since I'm not interested in making my own screensavers, I doubt I'll buy the program. So the statement will stay.

If anyone with XP is interested, I'd be happy to send you a copy - just put it in the Windows folder. It's about 1.3MB in size.

If anyone is interested in using AVI files as a screensaver I use the aviss which can be found at http://www.lcarscom.net/animations.htm it's right at the bottom of the page.

You can list what files want to be played like in a media player, change the size and repeats etc etc.

Plus its free Smile
