Edos EpocSFX is ready for download on P|s|io|n|w|e|l|t!

This application takes use of the following OPX libraries:
Zipenx.opx by S. Chestopalov.
AldurFile / AldurDlg by G. Holden
nDirNav by Neuon
These libraries must be installed prior to running EpocSFX for the first time.
EpocSFX creates self-extracting zip archives (SFX), as well as standard ZIP archives.
It can also convert SFX to ZIP archives and vice versa.
Files compressed into SFX archive can be extracted by simply running the archive.
If the option "Embed Zipenx" is used to create the SFX archive, it can be extracted on any Psion machine, even on the "clean" one (after hard reset).
New SFX or standard ZIP archive can be also created from the System screen, by using "Create new file" menu item (Ctrl+N).
Existing SFX or ZIP archive can be converted directly from View+ by selecting the archive and pressing Shift+Enter (Run with).
Thanks to VKV brothers, OSG and JSH, for support, exhaustive testing and many inspiring ideas. Eventual errors and bugs are solely mine.
Note: WINS version of Zipenx must be installed for use in EPOC Emulator.

Look on PsionWelt you can get version 1.07
New EpocSFX version 1.07:
+ Added INI file. Memorize settings: Temp drive, compression level, embed zip/unzip lib, log file.
Temp drive is used for all operations where applicable. It enables handling bigger file sizes than it would be possible using the RAM memory only.
+ Default packed document extension changed to ".pac". It can be changed from the dialog.
+ Many other small improvements and dialogs polishing.
Very recommended release:
1.07 Build 002
+ Substantially faster packing/unpacking of documents and generally improved this routine.
+ Once the document is packed a dialog is offered to accept or to cancel (delete) packed document. If cancelled, the option "delete file" is overriden.
+ Added option to select other than current folder when extracting archives from "Pack document" dialog.
+ Improved dialogs on reactive response and have further polished them.
I already finished new version 1.08.
Added option to convert packed document archive (.pac) to either standard Zip or Zip with icon (RMRZip standard). Also converting Zip to PAC archive.
Improved a lot extracting of PAC and Zip archives etc... |
